It is with great regret that due to the increasing concerns about the spread of covid-19, SmartAgriHubs has taken the decision to postpone its Bucharest Conference, which was due to have been held at the Radisson Hotel in Bucharest from the 9th of March.

From the 9th to the 11th of March in Bucharest, Romania, the SmartAgriHubs Stakeholder Conference will celebrate the achievement of one of the largest Horizon 2020 dedicated to European agriculture.

Digital Europe Programme: Survey for targeted consultation on the Orientations of the first two years of the proposed Digital Europe programme
02 October 2019 - The Digital Europe Programme (2021-2027) is part of the Multiannual Financial Framework and focuses on building the strategic digital capacities of the EU and on facilitating the wide deployment of digital technologies. The Programme is set to be launched by 2021. Therefore, to ensure a successful start of the Programme, targeted consultations are being carried out (by means of the survey below) to gather stakeholders’ views on the key areas, elements and priorities for the first two years of the EU Digital Europe programme.

19 September 2019 - On the 13th and 14th of September, the Agri Tech Hack took place in Izgrev, Bulgaria. The main purpose was to attract Bulgarian tech communities to interesting agricultural use cases around technologies such as IOT, Machine Learning and Big Data. Brothers Alexander and Boris Brestnichki finished first place and received 15 thousand Bulgarian lev prize money to further develop their prototype. The two brothers competed with 10 other teams in the first 28-hour AgriTechHack.
Buckle Up: SmartAgriHubs Launches its Innovation Portal to Unleash the Digitalisation of European Agriculture

17 September 2019 - On the 17th of September, the highly anticipated SmartAgriHubs Innovation Portal was launched. In a matter of days, many interested stakeholders signed up and have already been able to enjoy the added value provided by the Portal’s features.
24 EU member states sign declaration endorsing sustainable digitalisation of the EU agricultural sector
09 August 2019 - In April, 24 EU member states signed a declaration of cooperation for ‘A smart and sustainable digital future for European agriculture and rural areas’. This includes taking action to support a successful digitalisation of the sector by building on ongoing projects such as SmartAgriHubs.

31 July 2019 - Over the course of the years, our friends over at IoF2020 have initiated many trainings, webinars and other education activities performed by their partners. Coming up, there will be a series of webinars on IoT and Smart Farming, which our stakeholders can also sign up to.
Launch of the DIHs Champions Challenge!
18 July 2019 - On the 1th of July, the DIHNET.EU project launched the DIH Champions Challenge. Fully operational DIHs can take part in the challenge and apply until the 15th of September. The winners will be announced this November, at the Stakeholder Forum in Madrid.
